Pauline has over 40 years of experience covering diverse public sector portfolios including senior roles in housing, national parks and heritage. After working overseas in the 1980’s, Pauline returned to Australia and while looking for paid work volunteered in a women’s refuge. This began a passionate belief in the importance of secure, affordable housing for all people to achieve their potential and led to a 30-year public service career in housing in NSW and Queensland. Quirks of fate led to her spreading her wings to work in another area of passion – national parks and the environment and later heritage especially Aboriginal cultural heritage. Pauline retired from full time work in 2021 and since then has continued her passion for social justice and caring for the environment through a range of paid, volunteer and community activities.

Pauline has had a connection to Gumbaynggirr country since childhood but has lived in the Coffs area since 1994. She joined the Management Committee of HMAG to contribute to finding local solutions to housing issues in early 2024. She has degrees in Law and Science and was awarded the Public Service Medal in the 2009 Australian Honours List.
