In 2022, HMAG developed the Innovative Models Report to help the local community and key stakeholders explore diverse housing solutions and local projects. The report examines various innovative models that could be applied in the region, including rental co-ops and co-housing, community land trusts and other forms of supported home ownership.
Designed as an accessible resource, the report encourages the Bellingen Shire community to think creatively, unlock latent resources, and develop local solutions to the shortage of affordable, liveable, and environmentally responsible housing.
