Housing Matters Action Group Inc. – Annual General Meeting 2025

Join us for the Housing Matters Action Group Inc. (HMAG) Annual General Meeting, where we come together to reflect on a year of progress, partnership and community-driven action – and look ahead to the work still to come.

  • Date: Friday 7 November 2025
  • Time: 5.00 pm – 7.00 pm
  • Venue: Bellingen Youth Hub, 2 William Street, Bellingen

We warmly invite HMAG members, partners, supporters, and community members to attend.

What to Expect

Our AGM is an important moment each year to share what we’ve achieved together and set the direction for the year ahead. This year’s agenda includes:

  • Acknowledgement of Country
  • Minutes of the previous AGM (09.12.2024)
  • Chairperson’s Report
  • Annual Financial Statement
  • Election of Committee Members
  • Update on the Next Horizon Initiative – HMAG’s ten-month strategic planning process shaping our next decade of impact
  • Close

Reflecting on 2024-25

This year’s AGM will present the 2024-25 Annual Report, highlighting:

  • The continued growth of the Homes for Health initiative, mobilising the community to support healthcare workers with secure and affordable housing.
  • The incorporation and progress of the Waterfall Way Community Land Trust Ltd, following years of local consultation and governance design.
  • The launch of the Rural Housing Alliance, connecting rural and regional communities working on community-led housing solutions.
  • HMAG’s strengthened partnerships with the Siddle Family Foundation, Tripple, FRRR, and StreetSmart, whose support continues to expand our impact.
  • Our ongoing commitment to community learning, including the Housing System Learning Circle and workshops designed to build knowledge and local capacity.
  • HMAG’s financial performance and stewardship, including an improved surplus position and strengthened governance systems.

Looking Ahead

The AGM also offers an opportunity to discuss the work now underway through the Next Horizon Initiative – a long-term planning process guiding HMAG’s strategy, sustainability, and community impact for the coming decade. This work is grounded in local data and community consultation and focuses on ensuring HMAG is equipped to continue leading innovative, community-led housing solutions across the Bellingen Shire.

All Welcome!

Whether you’re already involved with HMAG or simply interested in local housing solutions, we’d love you to join us. Your insights, questions, and presence help strengthen this work.
